Hi Laurie,

I was just wondering what you would do with a dog being treated with steroid epidural injections for IVDD. How long would you wait before treating with laser?

Interesting question!!
So, the only reason you would want to wait to laser after cortisone would be to minimize the dispersal of the steroid.
However, it’s been shown that a steroid injection is systemic within 24 hours.
And laser is therapeutic and healing…

So on that note, I think I’d wait 2 - 3 days…
